Should I order any overage or extra material? How much?

We highly recommend ordering extra tiles to account for cuts, potential breakage, or future repairs

The online tile calculator available on each product page is a useful tool for converting your square footage (SQ.FT.) into the number of boxes required. It also prompts you to select overage. It is recommended to have a 15-20% overage.

If you don't order enough tiles for your project, ordering additional tiles (add-on orders) can be time-consuming and expensive. Furthermore, we cannot guarantee that the color, sheen, shade, thickness, and sizing will perfectly match your original order due to the handmade natural characteristics of our tiles.

Keeping leftover tiles on hand is highly recommended due to the constantly changing availability and glaze composition of tiles. By having extra tiles from your original order, you can ensure that you have a match in color, sheen, shade, thickness, and sizing in case you need to make repairs or additions to your project in the future. This is especially important for handmade natural tiles, as their characteristics can vary from batch to batch. By having leftover tiles, you can avoid the hassle and expense of trying to find a perfect match later on.
